The European premiere of the Macedonian feature film “DJ Ahmet”, Georgi Unkovski’s directorial debut, took place at the “Cinema Galleries” in Brussels, an event that attracted the attention of representatives of European institutions, diplomats, film professionals, visitors and international film fans.
Before the start of the screening, Macedonian Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov addressed the audience, emphasizing that the screening of a Macedonian film in the heart of Europe is a significant success and a strong confirmation of the quality of domestic cinematography.
“I am honored that tonight, here in the heart of Europe, in Brussels, we are celebrating the premiere screening of the Macedonian feature film “DJ Ahmet”. After this screening, I believe that we will all feel how deeply local a film can be in its story, yet universal in the emotion and message it carries,” Minister Ljutkov pointed out.
