Macedonia’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) received false bomb threats Sunday via email regarding the East Gate and Diamond shopping malls in Skopje.
After more than two hours of checks inside and around the premises, the MoI said that the reports of electronic devices being placed were false. There is no information on who sent the emails to the Interior Ministry.
“On Sunday, the Ministry of Interior received an email containing a threat stating that explosive devices had been placed in the East Gate and Diamond shopping malls in Skopje. Immediately after receiving the reports, police officers took appropriate measures and conducted activities inside and around the premises, determining that the bomb threats were false,” reads the press release.
