VMRO-DPMNE MP Mile Lefkov harshly criticized SDSM leader Venko Filipche at a press conference on Tuesday, accusing him of being completely aligned with the positions of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and the Bulgarian authorities.
“Filipce is completely aligned with Radev and the Bulgarian authorities, and as a special Bulgarian MP he is spreading their policies in Macedonia,” Lefkov said.
The ruling party representative said that at a time when discussions were taking place in the backrooms of the European Union about the accession of the Western Balkan countries to the EU, including Macedonia, Filipche and Radev were demanding constitutional amendments to include Bulgarians in the Constitution.
According to Lefkov, such an approach is being made “without any guarantees, without any protection of national interests and without foreseeing Macedonia’s European integration path towards the EU.”
The MP accused SDSM of trying to commit a “new betrayal” despite, as he said, “the worst rating in history.”
“If Filipche and SDS are in power, they will sign that Macedonia has been around since 1945, and before that we were Bulgarians,” Lefkov noted.
“SDSM is in opposition because it would sell out the entire country for power, tenders and amnesty for criminals,” assessed Lefkov at the end of the press conference.
