VMRO-DPMNE says in a press release Saturday that SDSM leader Venko Filipche is attempting to win over Bulgaria, with the aim of coming to power, through his stances on the European Union negotiating framework and Bulgarian demands.
The ruling party’s release notes that Filipche repeatedly claims there is no better negotiating framework; however, according to VMRO-DPMNE, it is precisely this framework that is stalling Macedonia’s progress on its European path.
VMRO-DPMNE asserts that Filipche echoes the positions of Rumen Radev and Petrova-Chamova, framing Bulgaria’s demand as a European position rather than a bilateral dispute.
According to VMRO-DPMNE, Filipche’s announced “master plan” is to seize power at any cost, accept Bulgaria’s demand to include Bulgarians in the Constitution, and complete the process initiated by former Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
