The investment is approx. EUR 2 million, funds provided by the Government’s project for supporting municipalities. The multi-story garage will have about 200 parking spaces and should be completed next summer season. As soon as this Government was elected, we facilitated the procedure for the construction of schools, hospitals, preschools, outpatient clinics and multi-story garages. The challenge with this project was that it required the integration of UNESCO compliance, safeguarding of cultural heritage, as well as architectural safeguards. With the support of the Municipality, the Institute and Museum – Ohrid and the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Transport was able to issue a permit, Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski told reporters during a cornerstone laying ceremony for a multi-story garage in Ohrid.
Accompanied by Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Ohrid Mayor Kiril Pecakov, Nikoloski marked the beginning of the construction of the multi-story garage near the Ohrid farmers’ market in the city center.
