VMRO-DPMNE Central Committee member Valentin Manasievski at a press briefing Thursday made a series of accusations against the SDSM leadership, claiming that the party is acting under outside influence and with serious internal weaknesses.
According to Manasievski, SDSM leader Venko Filipche is leading the party in the wrong direction, acting on alleged instructions from former Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
Manasievski accused Filipche of, as he put it, “pushing the party into a bottomless pit”, following advice from people close to Zaev.
During the press briefing, Manasievski also pointed to Filipche’s alleged meetings in Nish and Greece with people named Bašanović and Ščekić, assessing that the absence of public information about these contacts raises doubts about their nature and purpose.
The ruling party representative further accused SDSM’s communication strategy of being based on, as he said, “fake news, manipulation and slander”, which he directly pointed out to the team associated with the aforementioned advisors.
