All events organized to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence were paid for by socially responsible companies and required zero government funding, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Wednesday.
“I kept quiet, left everything that was a special moment and to be a special moment for the citizens. Both the citizens and the budget, all these events cost zero denars. You are free to check the Open Finance platform and you will see that it costs zero denars. Everything is organized by socially responsible companies. I regret that Freud works with individuals and that they think that others will do as they did. This Government is hospitable and pro-Macedonian, and it cares about the citizens. Every denar from the Budget is spent in a transparent manner. The bad news for them is that zero denars of budget funds were spent on organizing these events, and yet we had an unforgettable summer,” said PM Mickoski after the commissioning of a sports hall in the Municipality of Shtip.
The concert of the world-famous DJ and house music producer David Guetta, which took place last night in Skopje, was the finale of all events within the framework of the manifestation “35 years of independence of Macedonia”.
On September 1, the world-famous tenor Jose Carreras gave a concert in Skopje together with Macedonian music stars and the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, and on September 4, the multimedia stage spectacle “A Bright Day” was held, which rounded off its journey in the country with a performance by more than 120 artists.
The “A Bright Day” caravan started from Ohrid on August 9 and visited 12 cities in the country. Famous Macedonian music performers and actors participated in its realization.
