AbdulvehapHuseini, the owner of one of the companies investing in the building on TeodosijGologanov Boulevard, where a landslide occurred while digging a hole, also works as the head of a department at the Center for Social Care in Tetovo, reported TV Telma. He heads the Rights department, and was also reported for negligent work in the service. He settled with the Prosecutor’s Office and paid backMKD 18,000 to the state. As TVTelma reported, an employee of the center reported him for mobbing, but the court ruled in favor of Huseini.
As we previously reported, the companies Pro Building Companybased in Tetovo and PalmaTradeare investors in the construction. Pro Building Company is owned by AbdulvehapHuseini, TripunKrstevski and VanchoKrstevski.
Part of the TeodosijGalaganov Boulevard, where the incident occurred, will be closed to traffic for at least another month.
From the information so far, shortcomings in the supervision of construction activities are the most likely cause of the incident. The investor at the construction site did not place enough so-called “piles”, which is an important construction procedure for high load-bearing capacity and stability of the entire structure, especially when it comes to loose soil on which it is built. That is, it is a method that allows the transfer of the load from the structure to deeper and more solid layers of the soil.
