There is no situation in which SDS will not try to invent, construct and distort something that has no connection with reality. I fully welcome and support the action of the competent institutions to prevent corruption, as well as the courage and determination of the citizen who reported the bribe request and cooperated with the institutions so that the case could be discovered and prosecuted, says the Government’s Secretary General Igor Janushev on Sunday.
“Only with such an attitude, reporting, action and indiscriminate responsibility can we build a society in which corruption will not be silenced and tolerated. There must be zero tolerance for such actions, regardless of who the perpetrator is. As for me personally, I want to be crystal clear that I completely distance myself from the actions of the detained person. His actions have nothing to do with me, my position, my work or any of my decisions or actions. The person is a driver who has worked for other officials in the past, and he has only been in the position of a driver for the Secretary General for about six months. His illegal actions are solely his personal responsibility and he should be held accountable for what he has done before the competent institutions,” Janushev pointed out.
He sent a message that he will not allow someone else’s illegal actions to tarnish the reputation of people who work honestly, responsibly and around the clock.
“And to all those who think that this is how they can make money or that this kind of work can pay off, I want to stress unequivocally that with this Government, with the institutions that act and with my work as an individual, but also as part of this system, crime will not pay off for you. I will not allow someone’s illegal actions to tarnish the reputation of people who work honestly, responsibly and day and night for results, nor will I allow such actions to cast a shadow over the work we put in every day,” stressed the Secretary General of the Government.
