Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on a visit to Munich to attend the 62nd Munich Security Conference met with European Council President Antonio Costa and discussed the country’s European path and reforms.

“We talked openly and honestly about Macedonia’s European perspective, the reforms we are implementing and the challenges that stand in the way of our full membership in the European Union. I clearly conveyed our position that Macedonia remains committed to the European path. But, at the same time, Macedonia deserves a dignified and principled process based on European values and not on bilateral conditions,” PM Mickoski said in a social media post.

The Macedonian PM added that the government was working on essential reforms regarding the rule of law, the fight against corruption, economic stability and a better living standard.
