Macedonian ICT industry continues to break records in the economy

Exports of information, computer and telecommunication services in 2025 reached EUR 676 million, which represents a growth of 7 percent compared to 2024.

“Good news today – the Macedonian ICT industry continues to break records in the economy. According to data from the National Bank, exports of information, computer and telecommunication services in 2025 reached 676 million euros, which represents a growth of 7 percent compared to 2024. It is particularly significant that the ICT sector is achieving constant growth and a positive trade balance,” Macedonian Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski said in a social media post.

I imports of ICT services in 2025 amounted to EUR 197 million, which, according to the minister, means that the net effect for the economy is a surplus of EUR 438 million.

“The largest share of exports comes from computer services, which reached almost EUR 600 million. These results once again show that the ICT sector is becoming one of the key drivers of economic growth, exports and technological transformation of our economy,” added Minister Andonovski.
