The Main Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) and the police have announced new details of the international operation that was announced earlier Saturday. The narcotics were discovered in a trailer of a truck, and at the same time, searches are being carried out at several locations in Macedonia.
As part of the international cooperation between PPOs and the competent services for combating illicit drug trafficking in Macedonia, Kosovo and Greece, a coordinated operation was carried out in Thessaloniki Saturday.
One Macedonian and one Kosovo nationals have been arrested.
“During the control of a truck, 324 kilograms of marijuana were found and seized in a trailer, hidden in eight pallets of paper,” the Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release.
