Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski extended a greeting on May 5 – Macedonian Language Day, pointing out that Macedonian language is the bedrock of our spiritual and national identity.
“The Macedonian language is not only a means of communication, but a living witness to centuries of history, hallmark of our cultural and national distinctions. Its words are woven with the struggles, hopes and aspirations of generations who built and preserved our existence,” reads Mickoski’s message.
Our duty today, as the PM points out, is clear – to nurture, promote and represent the Macedonian language with dignity, both at home and on the international stage.
“In times of challenges, wisdom, unity and unwavering faith in the values that define us are needed. As a society and as a country, we remain firmly determined to protect and affirm the Macedonian language as an inalienable cultural and historical heritage. It is our common obligation, but also our common future. Let May 5 be a reminder that through language we preserve the soul of the nation. Happy Macedonian Language Day,” underscored PM Mickoski.
