Public administration is one of the most important pillars of a functional state, and its professionalization is a key prerequisite for European Macedonia, Macedonian Minister of Public Administration GoranMinchev told SlobodenPechat in an interview.

The minister, who comes from the ranks of the minority partner in the Government – the ZNAM Movement, says that reform is not measured only through the adoption of laws, but through their real implementation and change in the institutional culture.

Regarding the Law on Fair Representation, the minister points out that it is a new, expertly prepared solution that for the first time regulates this principle through a separate law, with a clear methodology and an institutional mechanism for monitoring its implementation, emphasizing that the goal is to establish a balance between constitutional principles and professional standards, without room for abuse.

“Fair representation and quality are not contradictory. Our goal is for every citizen to have equal opportunity, and for institutions to receive the highest quality personnel,” said Minchev.
