The Ministry of Local Self-Government (MLSG), as part of the coordinated institutional response to the water supply crisis, urgently provided a donation of 50,000 liters of drinking water to the residents of the Municipality of Gostivar.
“In times when citizens face serious challenges, we react swiftly, responsibly and in solidarity. With this donation, we make a concrete contribution to overcoming the situation and send a clear message: institutions stand shoulder to shoulder with citizens whenever necessary,” said Macedonian Minister of Local Self-Government Ivan Stoilkovikj.
The first of two planned trucks with the first quantities of free water arrived in Gostivar on Wednesday. The delivery, as stated by the ministry, is aimed at directly satisfying the basic needs of the population while the measures and recommendations of the competent services are in effect.
The ministry indicates that it remains in constant coordination with all relevant institutions and is closely monitoring the situation on the ground.
