The Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) has filed criminal charges against four minors for violence against a girl in the Gjorche Petrov Municipality.

“On April 29, the Skopje PD and the Gjorche Petrov police unit filed a criminal complaint with the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) against four minors (one 17-year-old and three 14-year-olds), all from Skopje, due to grounds for suspicion that they committed two criminal offenses of violence provided for and punishable under Article 386 of the Criminal Code,” the Ministry of Interior said in its report.

“In two separate events, on March 27, 2026 and March 30, 2026, the suspects physically assaulted a 13-year-old minor, and a video recording and photos of the events were released on social media. The criminal complaint has been submitted to the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office and is being processed in line with the Law on Justice for Children. Tomorrow (May 5, 2026), the Skopje Police Department will also file criminal charges against the parents of the minors involved,” adds the MoI.
