The government has been working since day one on a solution to strengthen the country’s positions, which were misplaced by the previous government. The goal is for the solution to be dignified and ensure a predictable European integration process, Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski told Kanal 5 TV in an interview Thursday evening.
Mucunski indicated that an active dialogue is being conducted with the member states of the European Union, with the European institutions and with Bulgaria. However, an acceptable solution has not yet been reached.
“It is crucial to have predictability in the integration process. I emphasize once again that we are absolutely not ready to discuss issues related to identity and history. While this Government is leading the country, national positions will be above all and above all, while at the same time we will continue to work on internal reforms,” Mucunski noted.
Regarding the model of gradual integration, the FM assesses that it is obvious that work will be done to change it, with the possibility for candidate countries to gain more rights and access to more European funds.
