There are no new laboratory-confirmed cases of West Nile fever in the country, and the latest suspected cases are negative, the Macedonian Ministry of Health informed Monday.
The ministry points out that the Public Health Institute (PHI) has not received any new confirmed cases, while the samples from the last people suspected of infection were negative in PCR testing.
“Regarding West Nile fever, the Public Health Institute has not received any new laboratory-confirmed cases. The latest samples from the suspected cases are negative in PCR testing. Also, there are no new patients admitted to the Clinic for Infectious Diseases with suspicion of West Nile fever,” the Health Ministry said in a press release.
