In the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025, the total number of passengers transported in passenger road transport amounted to 10,055,000 and dropped by 8.5 percent compared to the same period in 2024, the State Statistical Office announced on Monday.
In international transport, the number of passengers transported decreased by 53.3 percent, in urban transport by 10.4 percent, in intercity transport by 6.7 percent and in suburban transport by 3.6 percent.
The total number of passenger kilometers in the last quarter of last year was 242,740,000 and was down by 21.7 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. In urban transport, passenger kilometers increased by 26.4 percent, and decreased in international transport by 35.5 percent, in suburban transport by 3 percent, and in intercity transport by 1.7 percent.
A total of 38,739,000 passengers in 2025 were transported by bus, of which 19,848,000 were in urban transport, 15,071,000 in suburban transport, 3,303,000 in intercity transport, and 516,000 in international transport.
