The number of employees in industry in the period January-December 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, decreased by 3.5, reveals State Statistics Office (SSO) data on Tuesday.
The number of workers in one year in the Mining and quarrying sector decreased by 6%, in the Manufacturing sector by 2.7%, and in the Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector by 0.5%.
According to the main industrial groups, the number of workers in industry in December
2025 compared to December 2024, decreased in the Energy groups by 2.5%, Capital goods by 4.3% and Non-durable consumer goods by 3.3% and Intermediate goods, except energy, by 1.8%, and increased in the Durable consumer goods group by 4%.
The number of workers in the industry in the January – December 2025period, compared to January – December 2024, decreased by 3.5%.
