According to data from public health institutions in Gostivar on Monday (20.07.2026), the number of newly examined patients, i.e. people who first sought medical help due to symptoms of gastroenteritis, continues to drop.
At the Gostivar General Hospital, 111 new examinations were registered in the infectious disease department, 65 new examinations in the pediatric department and 7 examinations in the Emergency Center, i.e. a total of 183 examinations.
At the Gostivar Health Center, 110 examinations were recorded, as well as 25 calls to the Emergency Medical Service.
“During yesterday, the total number of patients examined at the hospital decreased by 38 percent. Compared to July 19, 2026, when 289 examinations were registered at the Gostivar General Hospital, a total of 183 examinations were recorded yesterday. At the same time, the number of examinations at the health center continues to continuously decline – from 315 patients on July 18, to 275 patients on July 19 and 110 patients on July 20,” said Health Minister Sasho Klekovski.
