Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade TimchoMucunski told reporters ahead of the Macedonian-Slovak Business Forum on Thursday that over 60 percent of the new candidates for ambassadors are career diplomats from the ranks of the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
TheFM added that due to the fact that this information was of a classified nature, he would not be able to confirm the names, but after receiving the agrément, and starting the internal procedures in the country, the names will be confirmed and they will defend their theses before the Foreign Policy Committee in the Parliament.
At the session on Tuesday, as reported by some media outlets, the Government approved a list of nine new ambassadors and two consuls general, in Stockholm, Bucharest, Pristina, London, The Hague, Strasbourg, Sofia, NATO and Sofia, as well as consuls general in Thessaloniki and Melbourne.
