The Skopje Appellate Court informed that, acting on the criminal case known to the public as “The Murder of Vanja and Panche”, it issued a decision rejecting as unfounded the appeals of the defendants V. M., B. V., V. K. and LJ.P., and accepted the appeal of the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, in such a way that the verdict of the Skopje Basic Criminal Court K.br.1339/24 and K.br.1571/24 of 25.06.2026:
“It confirmed in the conviction part with respect to the defendants V. M., B. V., V. K. and LJ. P., where they were declared guilty of one criminal offense Murder under Article 123 paragraph 2 item 1 and item 7 in conjunction with Article 22 of the Criminal Code, one criminal offense Kidnapping under Article 141 paragraph 2 in conjunction with paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 22 of the Criminal Code and one criminal offense Murder under Article 123 paragraph 2 item 4 in conjunction with Article 22 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to a prison sentence – life imprisonment. It revoked in the acquittal part – with respect to the defendant A.G., for the criminal offense of Kidnapping under Article 141, paragraph 2, in conjunction with paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 24 of the Criminal Code, in which part the case was returned to the first instance court for re-trial and decision-making”, informs the Appellate Court.
“Given the volume of evidence and the complexity of the case, which from its receipt in the court to the adoption of the decision, is being actively processed and the necessary legally determined actions are being taken, the written preparation of the decision is underway. The public will be additionally notified of the publication of the decision of the Skopje Appellate Court on the specific case, which will be available in full on the court’s website, in line with the Law on Courts and the Law on Management of the Movement of Cases in the Courts,” reads the Appellate Court.
