The new legal amendments in education foresee sanctions for parents whose children commit violent acts, Macedonian Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska said Friday.
“The State Secretary is in constant contact with the MPs. I think they are currently in the Parliament to finalize these proposals. A decision has already been made, those changes will be made and the fine of EUR 250 remains for each violent act committed by the child, to punish the parent, but also, which is very important – when the parent refuses to cooperate with the school and other institutions,” said Minister Janevska, in response to reporter’s question.
