Over the past week, the teams of the Public Enterprise Municipal Hygiene-Skopje removed and transported 615 cubic meters of waste from illegal landfills on the territory of the city of Skopje.
Approximately 25 cubic meters of improperly disposed mixed municipal and bulky waste were removed from John Kennedy Street, in the immediate vicinity of the “Vasil Glavinov” primary school, where constant dumping of waste on public and traffic areas has been observed for a long time.
Last week, the Eco-Patrol of the Public Enterprise Municipal Hygiene-Skopje prepared 21 reports for individuals and legal entities found violating the Law on Public Cleanliness, of which 13 reports were handed over on the territory of the Skopje municipality of Chair.
Moreover, the company continues with daily maintenance of public hygiene through manual and machine sweeping of the boulevards and larger streets, Macedonia Square and Street, the smaller squares of Philip II, Mother Teresa and Bogorodica, pedestrian bridges in the central city area, pedestrian paths and sidewalks on the “Goce Delchev” and “Sloboda” bridges, as well as the Old Skopje Bazaar.
