Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski expects solid GDP growth, the realization of capital investments and the way in which, despite the challenges and external factors, they are consolidating the Macedonian economy. He believes that the time is coming when citizens will feel the results of all this work.
The PM says that there are again large-scale military actions in the Persian Gulf and a repeated increase in the prices of oil and oil derivatives on world stock exchanges, which, as he emphasizes, represents a challenge for the Government.
“At a government session on Monday, at an extraordinary government session, we will continue the crisis situation and within the framework of this crisis situation we will reduce excise taxes on unleaded gasoline and diesel fuels, which will have a positive impact on citizens, but a negative impact on the price, because it will decrease. I expect that we will continue to have the lowest prices for gasoline and diesel fuels by far,” said Mickoski in response to a reporter’s question after visiting the Municipality of Veles.
The PM expects, as he says, the opposition to continue spreading untruths and speculation.
“We were supposed to go bankrupt in 2024, but we didn’t, then again in 2025, etc. Here is another bad news for the opposition – we will not go bankrupt this year either. Wages will increase ad part of the collective agreements, pensions as well according to the law. All obligations will be paid as foreseen in the budget,” Prime Minister Mickoski pointed out.
