This year I expect the country to stabilize, for the annual inflation to come below three percent. I expect some monthly negative trend, i.e. decline, compared to last year. Last year in January we had a basket, so I expect this year to be around 3%, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski response to a reporter’s question about inflation.

The PM pointed out that as a government they were pursuing household policies that were within the citizens’ standards.

“That’s how we have been working so far, in the direction of consolidating the situation in the country. From a chaotic situation, collapsed institutions, a destroyed system, we are coming to a situation where we can say that we are finally consolidated and now we need to develop Macedonia the way all citizens want it,” stressed PM Mickoski.
