Macedonia is facing a serious and unjust blockade of its integration bid. We must join the European Union, but in the process, we must remain intact and dignified, Macedonian Prime Minister HritisjanMickoski said speaking at Sunday’s formal ceremony in Ohrid marking Ss. Cyril and Methodius Day.

“Our decisions define our future. If we remain united, no matter who is on the other side, we will stay united. This is the core that had come under attack in the historical destiny of Macedonia. Macedonia is facing a serious and unjust blockade of its integration bid. I understand Bulgaria’s position, but I don’t justify it,” Mickoski said in his address.

Calling for national and intellectual unity, the PM said that “we have to fight for what we believe in and the concept of unity to be based on sound foundation.”

“There is no amount of money, no power and no reason that would make me betray my people or do something, anything, that would be to their detriment,” stressed PM Mickoski.
