SDSM in coalition with Levica submitted 13 thousand amendments in order to prevent our citizens in the diaspora from voting, fearing that they do not have their trust and this is a strong message to our citizens in the diaspora. I hope that the SDSM-Levica coalition will finally dare, leave their political motives behind, return to Parliament, there is still time to deliver this reform. I am convinced that they will put political interests aside and prioritize national interests, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski Thursday in response to a reporter’s question regarding the adoption of the Electoral Code.
“First, when SDSM led the Government, with its catastrophe and cataclysm that it brought to Macedonia, it motivated and drove out a large part of our citizens to seek their happiness outside of Macedonia, and now it is punishing them for the second time. It does not allow them to participate in legitimate, presidential elections. If they are afraid for the parliamentary elections, here we are telling them that for the next presidential elections and onwards, the diaspora should be given the opportunity to participate electronically. It is not true that the past few days have been talking about the example of France, I can tell you many examples that we have applied for in the region, which we are seeing and which are happening,” said PM Mickoski.
