U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s messages at the Munich Security Conference are a clear signal to all allies that the world no longer works according to the old rules, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Saturday in Munich, adding that the government was ready to respond to any challenges that may arise.
“The United States and Europe remain inextricably linked, but we will build our future through seriousness and mutual respect. As a government, we remain committed to strengthening our place in the transatlantic community. We are ready to respond to challenges, modernize our defense and ensure a secure future for our citizens,” Mickoski said in a social media post.
PM Mickoski is leading a Macedonian delegation to the 62nd Munich Security Conference. On the sidelines of the conference, the government delegation is meeting with EU representatives as well as with heads of state and government. During the talks, the PM is reaffirming the country’s position on the need for a predictable and fair process of accession to the European Union, without additional bilateral conditions.
