The police detained a 38-year-old man from Makedonski Brod, acting on a report that on September 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. he caused a fire in the village of Breznica.
“Police officers from the Makedonski Brod Interior Department arrested M.T. (38) from Makedonski Brod, acting on a report that on 05.09.2026 at around 10:00 a.m. he caused a fire in the village of Breznica, Makedonski Brod, so that a spark from a gasoline trimmer for mowing, near his house in the village of Breznica, caused a fire that spread to neighboring properties,” the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a press relese.
There were no injuries, and the fire was extinguished by a team from the PE National Forests and the local population. After documenting the event, an appropriate report will be forwarded to the PPO.
