Macedonian Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev addressed the public debate dedicated to the 2025 draft Annual Report on the implementation of the Action Plan of the Public Administration Reform Strategy 2023–2030, organized by the Ministry of Public Administration.
The purpose of the public debate is to present the progress in the implementation of activities during 2025 and to enable an open discussion with institutions, the civil sector and the professional public, in order to collect comments, observations and proposals for further improvement of the reform process.
The minister referred to the adoption of the Law on Professional Development and Training of Administrative Servants, which creates the basis for the establishment of the Academy of Public Administration. As was emphasized, this institution will have a significant role in the continuous improvement of the knowledge and skills of public servants and in strengthening the professional capacities of the administration.
The importance of the legal solution for the senior management service was emphasized, among other things, which establishes a professional and transparent system for the selection and management of the highest management positions in institutions, thereby strengthening efficiency and accountability in the public sector.
“The latest 2025 report of the European Commission confirms our commitment and the visible progress in the reform of the public administration. Compared to previous reports, it is clear that the progress in the reform is visible and concrete,” added Minister Minchev
