The Council of Public Prosecutors did not make a decision to elect a new head of the Skopje High Public Prosecutor’s Office, given that none of the five registered candidates received the required number of votes.

At the session, the Council considered the nominations of FatimeFetai, Vladimir Miloshevski, ArtanAjro and JasminaKostovska-Zdraveska.

Chief Public Prosecutor NenadSaveskisays that he remains of the position that everyone should be given a chance for progress and will vote for JasminaKostovska-Zdraveska.

Council member MarijaIlievska says that she agrees with Saveski’s position, emphasizing that this was confirmed by the interview with the candidates.

Council member ErmondNezirivoted for FatimeFetai, emphasizing that she is the candidate with the most experience and, in his opinion, the most suitable.

Mustafa Hajrullahi, the former head of the Skopje High Public Prosecutor’s Office, was suspended after the Shtip Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment for five criminal offenses of harassment in the performance of duty and one for abuse of office and authority, based on allegations that in the period from September 2023 to October 2024, he used hierarchical superiority to continuously psychologically abuse and threaten five female employees. He allegedly threatened to “kick them” or “throw them off of the 6th floor” and tried to force them to sign statements that they had been manipulated.
