The hearing for the Pulse nightclub fire trial scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2026, has been postponed due to the deteriorating health condition of defendant Grozdan Milkovski, who is undergoing hospital treatment at the Kochani General Hospital, the Criminal Court said in a press release Wednesday.
“During the day, the head of the trial council, who is handling the case, made telephone contacts with the doctors responsible for the defendant’s treatment. They informed him that the defendant was not able to attend this main hearing, but assure him that his health condition will improve and he should be able to continue following the main hearing,” reads the Criminal Court’s release.
For the sake of the cost-effectiveness of the procedure and to avoid incurring additional costs, Judge Dijana Gruevska – Ilievska notified all defense attorneys, attorneys-in-fact of the injured parties, legal representatives of the injured parties, witnesses, the competent correctional institutions and the competent police stations of the postponement of the hearing.
