VMRO-DPMNE MP Mile Lefkov sharply criticized SDSM’s policy, accusing it of “synchronized action with structures from Bulgaria” regarding the citizenship issue.
“One can see from miles away the synchronization of the topic of citizenship between structures from Bulgaria, in contrast to the patriotism and intransigence of VMRO-DPMNE,” said Lefkov, adding that SDSM, in his opinion, is pursuing a “subservient policy.”
The ruling party MP claims that such coordination stems from, as he said, “numerous businesses through Bulgarian accounts of people from the top of SDS” and assessed that “someone obviously has them by the scruff of the neck and they have to deliver.”
Lefkov accused that when Bulgaria needs a certain topic in its public, “SDS provides that service in the press the same morning,” assessing that the citizenship process has been turned into a “circus and a parody.”
According to Lefkov, such a policy is “immature and dictated, and not in line with the interests of Macedonia”, and he assessed the attitude of the SDS as “reactive and in the form of a Pavlov reflex”.
“This is disgusting and can create additional challenges in relations, but also harm Macedonia,” said Lefkov.
