Regarding SDSM’s treat that the opposition party will withdraw from the Electoral Code working group if the caretaker government is scrapped, Macedonian Government Spokesperson Marija Miteva stressed that with such announcements, the leader of the opposition party Venko Filipche will not succeed in hiding the reality that his party is facing, and added that they are now against its scrapping, although in the past they agreed that it should be done.
“Such an attempt by Filipche and SDSM will not hide the reality that they are facing their political end, and the ruling party that leads the Government, VMRO-DPMNE, is the one that is building the future of the country. I really cannot understand how on the one hand we have statements saying that they have an increase in votes, this was said by Venko (Filipche) yesterday, and today Venko says that he is against the scrapping of the caretaker government, which in the past they agreed that it should be done,” said Miteva in response to a reporter’s question at a press conference in the Government.
Miteva adds that this is just another politically immature maneuver and believes that acting in this way does not bring anything good in the interests of the people.
