The SDSM-led Government, whose success was a 2% growth in the economy, for which a success was that wages grew by 5% and inflation in the same period was 20%, the party that increased pensions by 150 denars annually, cannot and should not give lessons on how the economy of a country should be run, VMRO-DPMNE MP Biljana Kuzmanoska told a press briefing Sunday.
“Since we hear them talking about the economy and growth every day, and they are still the largest opposition party in Macedonia, we need to make a comparison and see how they have been working in a dishonest way, and how we are working honestly, responsibly and transparently.
Eight full quarters of their government with eight full quarters of the VMRO-DPMNE-led Government.
What do the numbers show? In the first eight full quarters after the SDS and DUI came to power, the average real economic growth was around 2.6 percent.”
In the first eight full quarters of the current government, from the third quarter of 2024 to the second quarter of 2026, the average growth is around 3.55 percent,” Kuzmanoska said.
“So, 2.6 percent in the first eight quarters of SDS and DUI, compared to 3.55 percent in the first eight quarters of the VMRO-DPMNE-led Government,” added the ruling party MP.
