The Law on Minimum Wage submitted by the SDSM MP group and the coalition has been finally added to the Parliament agenda today. This law is a real response to the demands of the unions and workers, for EUR 600 minimum wage, said the opposition SDSM on Wednesday.
“We are witnesses that workers are forced to protest in the streets to get a living wage. Because their suffering is the difficult everyday life, they are unable to pay their bills and provide food for their families.
After Prime Minister Mickoski publicly gave up on the intention to buy a new government plane, a chance opens for that money, millions of euros, to be redirected to provide a EUR 600 minimum wage for workers.
There is no excuse now that there is no money when money was planned for a new plane, and now we have heard that it will not be purchased, in addition, you have the items from the Budget that the SDSM MP group proposed to provide money for an increase in the minimum wage, so there is money,” reads the opposition’s press release.
