The company CBD Medplant Ltd. from the village of Borisovo owned by Toni Kotev, from which 30 tons of narcotics were seized, was green-lighted by the Government in 2020 to grow cannabis for medical purposes, VMRO-DPMNE MP Brane Petrushevski told a press briefing on Sunday.
“At that time, Filipche was the Minister of Health and he personally approved the licenses for growing marijuana, which means that not only did he know and cooperate with Toni Kotev, but he also helped him start and operate this business. The fact that Filipche, together with Zaev, fought hard for this business is also evidenced by the fact that he strongly advocated for cannabis to be used for personal needs. Not only did he support legalization together with Zaev, but he also gave 50 licenses to people close to him, Zaev and SDS, but he also advocated for the export of the cannabis flower,” said Petrushevski.
