City General Hospital “September 8” has received a completely reconstructed surgery wing following a EUR 12 million investment through the TAV program. The reconstruction covers seven specialized surgery halls, departments for intensive care and pathology, administrative offices, the roof structure, clinical laboratories, and accompanying facilities.
Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski, Minister of Health Azir Aliu and other representatives of the Government, as well as the TAV General Manager, attended the inspection of the reconstructed hospital.
In his address, Deputy PM Nikoloski emphasized that the citizens are receiving the most modern hospital in the country.
“It is truly a special feeling when a major project is completed, and today we are completing a project that is of great importance not only for the city of Skopje, but also for the entire country. Patients from all over Macedonia come to this hospital every day seeking top-notch healthcare services. It is a top-notch healthcare institution. With this complete reconstruction, the best healthcare conditions will definitely be found in the city hospital. Today, we have completed the project under the Prime Minister’s leadership, in cooperation with the hospital director, the Ministry of Health, the Health Insurance Fund, TAV and we, as the Ministry of Transport, helped where needed. I hope that good stories will come out of here, successful surgeries, cured patients and people will leave here with smiles, and we will continue to work,” Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski underscored.
