Seven people have been arrested for arson of the Jewish Community building in Skopje, which houses the Skopje synagogue.
In a police raid, searches were carried out at 13 locations in Skopje, with seven people arrested. As announced by the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the case of the attempted arson of the religious building of the Jewish Community in Skopje on April 12, at around 4:50 a.m., has been resolved. On Friday, units of the Ministry of Interior, under the leadership of a competent public prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor’s Office OCC, carried out searches at 13 locations on the territory of Skopje, with seven people detained and items and electronic devices related to the crime seized.
Criminal charges have been filed against A.Lj (21) from Skopje for committing the crime of terrorism and against A.R. (38) from Skopje. A pretrial judge ordered a 30-day detention.
