Kaja Shukova is the new president of the SDSM Women’s Forum. The SDSM mayoral candidate for Skopje, who failed for the first time in the party’s history to move to the second round and finished fifth in the race for the city of Skopje, is the new president of the women’s forum, the SDSM Executive Board decided Monday evening.
Shukova is the third official whom Venko Filipche has moved back to a high party position after the party’s historically largest defeat in local elections. Despite his resignation as head of the election headquarters and general secretary, Aleksandar Sasha Dimitrijevikj remained the party’s general secretary, and Fani Karanfilovska Panovska stayed deputy leader.
Instead of confirming her resignation, the SDSM Congress only held a vote of confidence, which passed, and there is no information about what happened to the resignation, which according to the delegates to the SDSM Congress “mysteriously” disappeared before the start of the Congress.
