The Skopje Police Department has cleared several criminal cases, the perpetrators have been arrested and criminal charges were filed against them.
The Department for Violent Crimes filed a criminal charge against D.V. (37) due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of attempted murder.
On 07.08.2026 after a previous argument, he assaulted A.K. (38) from Skopje with a knife and caused him serious bodily injuries, as determined at the PHI St. Naum Ohridski. Immediately afterwards, at 21:35, he was arrested and the knife was found, and after documenting the case, a charge was filed against him, after which he was brought before a preliminary procedure judge, who ordered him to be detained for 30 days.
Meanwhile, the Department for Domestic Violence filed a criminal complaint against S.R. (57) due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of serious bodily harm under Article 131 and bodily harm under Article 130 of the Criminal Code. He is suspected of having physically assaulted his 47-year-old wife, their two daughters and their son on several occasions, and the last time he did so was on 07.08.2026 when he attacked his wife and one of his daughters with a hard object in the family home in the Skopje region, causing serious bodily harm to the wife and bodily harm to the daughter. After measures were taken, he was arrested Saturday at 09:40 a.m. and, in consultation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO), a report was filed against him under an expedited procedure, and a judge ordered his detention for eight days.
