“A Bright Day”: The story of Macedonia through different times and generations (VIDEO)

Macedonia began telling its 35-year story Sunday night in Ohridthrough music, verse, theater, and contemporary stage expression. The grand music and stage spectacle “A Bright Day” began at the BiljaniniIzvori stadium, in which more than 30 performers brought together different generations, genres, and musical languages ​​in a story dedicated to 35 years of independence.

Through musical performances, theatrical excerpts, poetry, and contemporary stage expression, the spectacle connected the past with the present and different generations with a common cultural and collective memory.

The story of Macedonia through different times and generations was led by Igor Dzambazov, in the role of host and narrator, leading the audience through personalities, verses, literary works, and music that have left a lasting mark on Macedonian culture.

The verses and thoughts of BlazheKoneski, KochoRacin, KrstePetkovMisirkov and GoceDelchev came to life in front of the audience, with excerpts from Macedonian literature and famous musical refrains that bridged different eras and generations.

From folk refrains to opera, from rock to hip-hop, from the big names of Macedonian pop to the youngest musical voices – the BiljaniniIzvori stageSunday night brought together the different faces of Macedonian music.

Different generations, genres and musical languages ​​intersected in the spectacle, in which the 35 years of independence were not presented only as a chronology, but as a living story in which the past speaks to the present, and cultural heritage with contemporary expression.

Starting withOhrid, the spectacle began its journey across Macedonia, which will continue in 11 more cities. Eleven cities, 35 years of independence and one story – the Macedonian one – that continues to be written.
