The Government has taken a decision over the procurement of 100 eco-friendly buses, a move that will change the daily routine of thousands of Skopje citizens who use public transport, says Skopje Mayor OrceGjorgjievski.
“My given word is an obligation, not a formality before elections. This is news that means a new beginning for our city and for thousands of citizens who use public transport every day,” notedGjorgjievski.
As indicated by Prime Minister HristijanMickoski, the City of Skopje will be awarded 100 buses and 50 chargers, which will enable safer, timely and more dignified public transport, but also significantly improve air quality and environmental protection.
The procurement of the buses is part of the strategic government-to-government agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and Hungary, which allows for implementation under exceptionally favorable conditions.
