Starting from September, Skopje will get the first section of the City Train from Zelenikovo to the transport center, as well as the first 30 new buses if the public procurement is successfully completed after the Easter holidays, said Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski in a TV interview on Saturday.
“The new buses procurement tender expired Monday, and according to the law, we have to wait to see if something arrives by mail and immediately after the Easter holidays we will enter into evaluation. According to the law, what I can say so far is that we have 4 offers,” said Deputy PM Nikoloski.
According to the conditions foreseen in the tender procedure, if the most favorable offer is selected, the first 30 new buses should arrive in September. The tender envisages the procurement of a total of 150 electric buses, 100 of which for the capital city and the rest for the municipalities.
