Slovakia to share experience with Macedonia in implementing reforms

Slovakia and Macedonia have strong potential to strengthen economic cooperation, while Slovakia remains a strong supporter of the country’s European integration process, implementation of key reforms and sharing its own experience. This was reaffirmed during the tête-a-tête meeting between Macedonian Finance Minister GordanaDimitrieska-Kochoska and her counterpart and host, Slovak Finance Minister LadislavKamenický.

In a press release by the Ministry of Finance, it was pointed out at the meeting that Slovakia is interested in sharing experience in the areas for which it considers it is most prepared, and which are of great importance for the country in fulfilling the necessary criteria. It was emphasized that Slovakia is ready to share knowledge in the area of ​​public finances, the fight against tax evasion and in the area of ​​public investments.

“The Government and the Ministry of Finance remain focused on maintaining macroeconomic stability and stability in public finances, implementing gradual fiscal consolidation, as well as achieving higher rates of economic growth, also driven by the realization of public investments. These are reforms that are a priority in the government programs,” said Finance Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska.
