Early Monday morning, a detailed inspection of the terrain in the village of Bigla near Delchevo, where a large fire broke out yesterday, was carried out. Since 5 this morning, duty teams of the Delchevo Fire and Rescue Department, the Maceodnian Ministry of Interior, the Border Police, the Red Cross – Delchevo and PE Macedonian Forests have been present on the terrain.
As informed by Delchevo Mayor Ivan Gocevski, a detailed inspection of the terrain was carried out together with the experts. During the inspection, drone footage was also used, through which parts of the terrain to which there is no direct access and which cannot be fully seen from the ground were examined.
The situation will continue to be carefully monitored throughout the day, and the Municipality of Delchevo remains in coordination with all competent services for timely response if the need arises.
The citizens’ safety and the prevention of a possible re-ignition of the fire remain priorities.
