The trial against 13 police officers, who are charged with serious crimes against public safety, related to the fire at the Pulse nightclub in Kochani has been postponed.

The main hearing scheduled for today was postponed to April 20 at the request of the defense attorney of defendants Kire Bogatinov and Kristina Nikolova, who informed that he had a simultaneous obligation in another detention case with priority at the Kochani Basic Court.

The judge informed that he contacted the defense attorney by phone and asked to ensure the presence of another lawyer for Wednesday’s hearing, in order to determine the dynamics of the procedure. Another lawyer came as a replacement and the dynamics for the next hearings were determined.

The court also informed at today’s hearing that several lists of evidence were submitted this morning, after which Judge Fanka Janchuleva-Mihailovska appealed for future submissions to be submitted on time because, as she said, the delay affects the duration of the procedure and the possibility of them being reviewed by the court and forwarded to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO).

The case is being represented by Prosecutor Spasenka Andonova from the PPO OCC, and the defendants are Dejan Saltirovski, Vancho Gjorgievski, Marija Manevska, Tomo Donev, Dragan Petrushev, Kire Bogatinov, Stojanche Filipov, Blagica Miteva, Kristina Nikolova, Mazlu Ramadanov, Darko Miloshevski, Martin Arsovski and Marjan Radevski.

The case involves 13 police officers, who are charged with serious crimes against public safety, related to the fire that occurred on March 16, 2025 at the Pulse nightclub in Kochani that claimed 63 lives over 200 were injured.
