Since the adoption of the 2026 Financial Agriculture Support Program, including the last payments, approximately EUR 20 million have been paid to farmers, said Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Cvetan Tripunovski in a TV interview Tuesday evening.
The minister pointed out that in the past period, the ministry has held a series of meetings with the largest number of agricultural as
ociations, with the aim of creating the measures in the 2026 Financial Agriculture Support Program.
“The first meeting was held before the adoption of the Financial Support Program, at which proposals, ideas and suggestions from agricultural associations were discussed. The goal was to create the measures jointly and respond to the needs of producers, “Tripunovski noted.
The minister adds that within the ministry, sub-sector groups operate for each production, which include representatives from agricultural associations, science, the business sector and administration.
